WoW Server Status, Some Realms Down for Update

Earlier today, Blizzard announced that a 24 hour downtime in some of its WoW servers will take effect from June 8, 12:01 AM PST to June 9. They said that the downtime will be because they will be doing some changes with regards to the upcoming new patch or update, Cataclysm.

Blizzard also said, although they are doing the some of the updates now. It doesn’t mean that we will be expecting Cataclysm anytime soon. They are just doing things early so that they will be able to foresee any problems that might arise.

We will be performing extended maintenance on the realms listed below on Tuesday, June 8th, beginning at 12:01 AM PDT. The maintenance is scheduled for 24 hours as we prepare for the upcoming expansion. These realms will be playable again at approximately 12:01 AM PDT on Wednesday, June 9th.

All the servers not listed below will undergo scheduled maintenance beginning at 5:00 AM PDT and will come back live at approximately 11:00 AM PDT.
