Gia Carangi is HIV Positive

GIA CARANGI — Gia Carangi was regarded as the first supermodel of America in the 70′s and 80′s. She used to be really popular in her time with her dashing looks. Her career blossomed but it was without their fair share of controversy.

Later on her career, in 1986, she was diagnosed to be HIV positive. This news was very shocking to her and to all her supporters. It changed her career forever. It was also later on discovered that she was in the later stages of AIDS and that treatment wouldn’t be able to help her anymore. She died at the age of 26 in November 18, 1986.

She now has a movie story of her life which stars Angelina Jolie. The movie is title ‘Gia’.
