German Goalkeeper Kills Himself in 2009 an Inspiration for Germany in 2010
FALLEN GERMAN GOALKEEPER BECOMES INSPIRATION — Something was revealed in Germany’s latest win over Australia. It has been reported that Germany dedicated its win today to Robert Enke, the German Goalkeeper. Back in November of last year Enke, 32-years-old was reported to have committed suicide when he threw himself in front of a train.
Enke played 8 times for Germany including five World Cup qualifiers, or the tournaments used to qualify for the World Cup. No one knew about Enke’s problems even his close teammates in the various teams he’s played with. His family also didn’t know that he was very depressed.
Since her younger sister also passed away back in 2006 hasn’t been the same. Says one of his family members.
