Da Sean Butler Injury Update and Video (ACL Tear or Torn ACL)
Update: Sources from West V has told media outlets that indeed, Da Sean Butler had a torn ACL and on top of that, he sprained his medial collateral ligament (MCL) and has two bone bruises.
DA SEAN BUTLER INJURY UPDATE — De Sean Butler injured his left knee Saturday Night during the West Virginia vs Duke game. Butler had to be helped out of the court to be attended by medical personnel. When you look at the video, you could see that West Virginia’s forward, Butler looked like he collided with a Duke player but it wasn’t the case. A replay of the incident showed that Da Sean Butler’s buckled when he was try to jump.
Early speculations about the injury is that Da Sean Butler tore his ACL or Anterior Cruciate Ligament. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the most important of four strong ligaments connecting the bones of the knee joint.
There is still NO official statement from West Virginia as of this writing. We just hope for the best for Da Sean Butler and his career.
