Charlie Sheen Leaving Two and a Half Men When Contract Ends
Several entertainment websites broke news about Charlie Sheen saying to his friends that he wants to leave “Two and a Half Men.”
A rep for Charlie Sheen had this to say. Taken from CNN report
Stan Rosenfield said his client’s contract with Warner Bros. is up this season, though CBS network has a contract for the hit show for at least two more seasons.
“The popularity of the show speaks for itself,” Rosenfield said. “It delivers huge ratings for CBS, it benefits Warner Bros. and Charlie understands why they want it to happen, but the truth of the matter is that there is no contract after this season.”
Charlie Sheen who is currently facing domestic violence charges against wide Brooke Mueller entered rehab last February. Sheen’s rep however clarified that his desire to leave the show is in no way whatsoever connected to his current legal problems but rather he is looking for more challenging roles or other opportunities.
“Charlie has done this for seven years. There are new things to do, new challenges,” he said. “He wants to do more movies, and doesn’t always get the opportunities during the hiatus [of the show].”
I guess that’s a good luck to your future endeavors Charlie Sheen.
