Charice officially joins ‘Glee’ !

CHARICE JOINS GLEE — International singing sensation Charice will join the cast of the US musical series “Glee” next season. Charice announced on her Twitter account on June 22. “It’s official. I’m on Glee (next season)… “when d rumor came out, it wasn’t true. But then after that, I tried to audition. And I made it!!! Let’s Party!!!!”

Charice, according to Entertainment Weekly, will play the role of a foreign exchange student who will get in the nerves of New Directions’ lead star, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

“Glee” has won numerous awards, including “Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy” at the Golden Globe Awards, Gay People’s Choice Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards, to name a few.

Its first season attracted six to 13 million viewers when it aired from May 2009 to June 2010.
