On the opening of the second half, Australia looked like they weren’t giving up but then Germany scored another point. Australia was never the same after this goal. On the later stages of the game, Germany was able to score easily once again and it was done for Australia.

If Australia plays like this on their next game against Ghana then they will be going home early. Ghana also won earlier against Serbia. They will be playing on the 19th.

Germany will play Serbia next on the 18th.

As it turned out, England didn’t win the match. They were favored to win this one but they weren’t. They fell short and the game ended in a 1-1 with the USA. The USA Soccer team and Englands Football team has met 9 times already in international matches, England has won 7 out of the 9 games, they are also better ranked in the FIFA rankings and in the eyes of many, England was at an advantage heading to the game.

In the game however, it was something different, USA matched every ounce of England’s effort. The game intense and both camps wanted the win pretty bad. Unfortunately, at the end of the game, no one was declared the winner. Again, it ended in a 1-1 tie.

The question still remains, who will top their bracket because these two teams were regarded as the contenders in their bracket. I guess we’ll see when they match up with the rest of the teams in their bracket.
