KFC seems to be checking Dwyane Wade’s posts on Twitter.

Miami’s one of the “Big Three”, Dwayne Wade is one of the many big-time players who is dismayed with the lockout happening in the NBA. The Miami basketball star tweeted June 30 — after the NBA announced a player lockout — asking,

“Any1 hiring?” The fast food company, which at one point actually did employ Wade, replied.

KFC has sent Dwayne Wade an offer letter.

“We couldn’t help but notice your recent tweet about looking for a new line of work in light of the lockout,” KFC wrote in the letter. “We’re always looking for folks with precisely your qualifications — initiative, teamwork and the ability to make buckets in a hurry,” KFC U.S. general manager John Cywinski say in the letter.

While KFC acknowledges that they wouldn’t be able to match the salary of a star basketball player, they told Wade that in exchange for him working a shift or two for them as an honorary captain at a drive-thru window, they would donate $250,000 in his name to Colonel’s Scholars.

It wouldn’t be Wade’s first time in a KFC uniform. Wade told Sports Illustrated in 2006 that his only other job before becoming an NBA superstar was working at a KFC in the Chicago area.

“We’ve always been proud to call you a former KFC employee and, it goes without saying we’d love to have you back on our team dishing out the World’s Best Chicken, like you dish out assists on the court,” reads the letter.

Rick Maynard, public relations manager for KFC, said that they haven’t received a response from Wade yet, but they are hopeful, and that they’d love to put him to work for a shift or two.

Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is following through on plans he discussed as a possibility at various points last season and will play for the French national team this summer.

Noah wanted to play for the country where he lived as a youth last summer but instead rested his plantar fasciitis. When that healed, he drilled individually with coach Tom Thibodeau.

Joakim Noah is scheduled to leave for France on Monday to begin preparation for a stint with Team France in the European Championships in Lithuania, according to a source close to the situation.

Noah, who has dual U.S. and French citizenship, is expected to be overseas for the next two months as the NBA lockout carries on.

France opens play in the European Championships on Aug. 31 against Latvia. The tournament runs through Sept. 18.

Noah, 26, averaged 11.7 points and 10.4 rebounds in 48 regular season games for the Bulls last season. A year after missing 18 games with plantar fasciitis, Noah missed 34 games with injuries last season, including a torn thumb ligament.

With that not an option this summer because of the NBA lockout that prohibits contact between management and players, Noah is going overseas. He joins Luol Deng, Omer Asik and possibly rookie Nikola Mirotic as those committed to their respective national team stints.

The 7-foot-1, 325-pound center is coming to the Eastern Conference champions, hoping he could fill the spot Perkins left due to injury. The C’s fell short in the NBA Finals against the Lakers when Kendrick Perkins got injured with his right knee during Game 6. Having Jermaine O’neal and Shaq in the center position, the Celtics is going big this upcoming season. Shaq signed 2-year deal with the Celtics and he is looking to add more titles to his four titles in his career.

The Big Shamrock is looking to start as center playing alongside Garnett, Pierce, Allen and Rondo. Backing them up will be Jermaine O’Neal, Glenn Davis, and Nate Robinson. The Celtics is also expecting Perkins’ recovery from his knee surgery within the regular season to make their size felt in the East.

Shaq told the press during his introduction as a new member of the Celtics that KG has always been his one of the favorite young players. Though they had so many battles against each other in the past, they also shared many conversations and many times, they’ve hung out. Now that he is a part of the team, his presence will give The Big Ticket a little more room to operate. He will keep the big guys off KG so he can go inside, outside and get a little bit more loose. “He [KG] has one [championship], he should have three, so hopefully we can get this one together,” he added.

The Eastern Conference Champions will not be bringing back Rasheed Wallace in the roster. Wallace’s agent confirmed the retirement to the Boston Globe on Monday. Ainge said every possible trade using Wallace’s contract was considered after it became clear he wasn’t returning. Celtics owed Wallace $13 million for the final two years of the three-year deal. The Celtics likely bought out the remainder of the contract.

Miami Heat’s center last season, Jermaine O’Neal decided to leave the blockbuster trio in south beach to take his talents to Boston. The 31 year old veteran feels that the end of his career is drawing near and he wants to win a championship this year. He thought that Celtics have more potential in winning a championship than the a bunch of all-star guys that were recently assembled. Chemistry is a must to win championships. Lack of it may lose the chance, he didn’t want to get into that trouble.

Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge got his team back. Having Paul Pierce and Ray Allen signed their contracts for the Celtics and keeping the Big Three intact. With Kendrick Perkins recovering from his knee surgery and Rasheed Wallace’s retirement, adding a guy like Jermaine O’neal will be a great replacement on the center position. The Eastern Conference champions are ready to face the challenges in the coming season.

Celtics lost Tony Allen to Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics wanted to re-sign Allen, but weren’t willing to give Allen a third guaranteed year. Boston offered him only two-years, at $5.2 million, with a partial guaranteed third year. At that point the 28-year-old Allen thought of entertaining the Memphis offer, which has no partial guarantees or team options. Allen will be playing with guard O.J. Mayo, small forward Rudy Gay.

Having Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen on guard positions, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett on forward positions and the newly acquired Jermaine O’neal at center, while Glenn Davis and Nate Robinson off the bench, and with Kendrick Perkins recovering from injury, how can you stop the Celtics in defending their crown in the east? This team is set for a rematch with the Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Miami Heat made their cap space cleared and won the jackpot of getting the Wade, James and Bosh to take the trip to championship. After signing the three of the most celebrated free agents, Heat made their moves to re-sign Udonis Haslem who played for the Heat since 2003 draft. Haslem signed a five-year deal worth $20 million, a roughly $14 million less than he could have received if he chose the offers of either Dallas Mavericks or Denver Nuggets.

“This is a combination of having a great opportunity to win, which is why we play this game, and an opportunity to still stay close to my family and be with my mother,” Haslem said, “And also, the opportunity to be a part of something special. We all play this game to win. I’ve never been a person driven by money. I would be changing my DNA if I left just for money,” he added.

James, Wade and Bosh took less than what they could have received from other teams individually. With that, Heat will be able to sign certain players that will complement the game of the Big Three. Haslem will take the supporting role. With Haslem’s signing, another thing he considered was Mike Miller’s possible trade to Miami Heat for Michael Beasley. These two gentlemen are extremely close friends. They were both Florida Gators. Upon LeBron’s decision in moving to south beach, Miller considered following James.

Miller’s agent, Arn Tellem, wrote on his blog, that Miller talked with four teams, not including the Heat, but that his future “hinged on LeBron’s.” James picked Miami, so Miller followed, and Tellem compared Miller to the Ringo Starr on this new Heat team of stars. “Mike welcomes the chance to be the Ringo in a hot combo that already includes LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh,” Miller’s agent said.

As part of the Miami’s rebuilding team, Chalmers, Wade, Miller, James, Haslem and Bosh, there is still a position that is yet to be filled, the center position. Is Zydrunas Ilgauskas ready to leave Cleveland to follow his friend LeBron in Miami? There are speculations that the “Big Z” will be joining his former teammate in MIami. Will he be the next “Cleveland coward?” as labeled by the Cleveland Owner Dan Gilbert about James moving to Miami.

LeBron James chose to join his Olympic teammates in Beijing, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. This is set to be the biggest of all the trios in NBA. I can say that this trio will make a dynasty. A three-pack of superstars if I may call it.

This decision made by James is not just about money. It’s all about winning. LeBron recently stated that he wants to win multiple titles and that alone could have been a huge factor for his decision. LeBron James, a two-time NBA MVP wanted to make his decisions straight. Being an MVP means winning championships. Taking your team on top of the league to take the major award and not just collecting individual awards. It’s all about the gold trophy, the championship rings and the banners hanging inside the arena.

“I can’t say it was always in my plans, because I never thought it was possible,” James said during the ESPN coverage, “But the things that the Miami Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in a position this summer to have all three of us, it was hard to turn down. Those are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game today.”

With LeBron’s decision, he knew that this would not turn out well for the Ohio fans. “They can have mixed emotions, of course,” James said, adding that, “Akron will always be home for me.”

In Cleveland, television images showed at least one fan burning James’ No. 23 wine-and-gold jersey. “I can’t get involved in that,” James said.” I wanted to do what was best for LeBron James … At the end of the day, I feel awful. I feel even worse that I wasn’t able to bring an NBA championship to that city.”

“To my real fans out there, I hope that you’ll continue to support me all the way to Miami.”

Knicks president Donnie Walsh also gave his comment of James’ decision. “We are disappointed that LeBron James did not pick the New York Knicks, but we respect his decision,”

Meanwhile, his new home wasted no time in beginning the celebration. Horns honked outside the arena and on Miami Beach, where Wade was watching the announcement with members of his inner circle. “It’s going to be crazy,” Wade said.

It’s a huge success for the Heat to bring all these talents together. Pat Riley, Miami’s president landed them all. With their cap space getting full, there are rumors that Michael Beasley will be traded to the Timberwolves for Minnesota’s 2011 second-round pick and a swap of future first-round picks. Heat definitely would need to clear more cap space to ensure that the Heat will be able to pay all three superstars and add some supporting cast to make their title run.

Clock is ticking for the revelation of the King’s decision. Since the first day of July, everyone was anticipating about his decision whether leaving his hometown or giving it another try. As the other big names in free agency class have made their decisions, now its up to James where he will be heading.

Teams started courting their prospects in the free agency market. Teams like New York Knicks, who cleared their cap space a year ago anticipating this free agency frenzy. Miami Heat had also made their moves last season, clearing their rosters to fit the biggest names in free agency market this summer into their lineup. The New Jersey Nets with a new major owner Mikhail Prokhorov, a Russian billionaire who agreed to buy its 80% stake in Nets, is also interested in getting the two-time NBA MVP, LeBron James and possibly two more big names available in the free agency market. The Chicago Bulls is also interested with LeBron James coming in to their roster. Bulls also made their moves to recruit the one-time NBA Finals MVP Dwayne Wade and the Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh who are both in the draft class of LeBron James. Los Angeles Clippers are also on a chase for James.

What are the transactions made in NBA for the past weeks? Well, there are some movements in NBA that could really make impacts in the league.

First, Vinny Del Negro was fired by Chicago as head coach. This action was part of Chicago’s chase for free agency frenzy to attract James. Then Cleveland fired Mike Brown as head coach. Following the incident, Danny Ferry resigned as GM of the Cleveland mainly because he didn’t agree about Cavs firing the coach who worked hard for 5 years with the team. In New Jersey, as part of the their team improvements, Nets hired Avery Johnson as their head coach. While in Philadelphia, Sixers traded center Samuel Dalembert to Sacramento for center Spencer Hawes and forward Andres Nocioni. After Chicago fired Vinny Del Negro, Bulls found their new head coach, the mastermind behind the dominant defense of Boston Celtics, Tom Thibodeau was named the new head coach of Chicago Bulls. He helped the Celtics win the championship in 2008 and get back to the finals this year. Meanwhile, Vinny Del Negro agreed to terms with Los Angeles Clippers as head coach. Byron Scott agreed to take Cleveland Cavaliers head coach. Utah signed rookies Gordon Hayward and Jeremy Evans, Boston signed rookie Avery Bradley, Detroit signed rookie Greg Monroe and Sacramento signed rookie DeMarcus Cousins.

Rudy Gay agreed to re-sign a five-year deal that could be worth about $82 million with the Memphis Grizzlies. Amar’e Stoudemire agreed to a five year, $100 million dollar deal with the Knicks hoping to lure James to the Big Apple. Atlanta Hawks made their move on re-signing a six-year, $119 million deal with forward Joe Johnson. Ray Allen agreed to stay in Boston for a two-year, $20 million contract with Kevin Garnett under contract. Paul Pierce is on the verge of signing a new four-year deal and Doc Rivers is also agreeing to return to Boston. In Dallas, Mavericks reached terms with former MVP Dirk Nowitzki on a four-year deal worth $80 million. Los Angeles Clippers guard Steve Blake agreed to a four-year, $16 million deal with Los Angeles Lakers replacing free agent guard Jordan Farmar. Utah Jazz free agent forward Carlos Boozer has agreed to a five-year, $80 million deal with the Chicago Bulls hoping to attract LeBron James to join him in Chicago. Dwayne Wade made a decision on staying in Miami and so as to Raptors forward Chris Bosh to sign with Wade. Wade does not know what the terms of his contract will be (he could receive up to $126 million for six years but told AP he would take less if necessary to make other deals work). Bosh doesn’t have terms of his deal done either. Its all contingent on what James says Thursday night.

Now that the biggest names in the free agency pool have made their decisions, the spotlight is now on LeBron James whether to stay in Cleveland, or maybe join his batch mates Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh for a BIG 3 in Miami, or join either Amar’e Stoudemire in New York or reunite with former teammate Carlos Boozer in Chicago, or maybe take a solo flight to New Jersey?

James is set to make his decision Thursday night on ESPN.
