Jose Bautista of Toronto Blue Jays hits the 50th home run

Hurray! Everybody is cheering for Jose Bautista as he hits his 50th home run! This is a first-inning solo blast off Seattle Mariners right-hander Felix Hernandez. This is really awesome and everybody is proud of what Bautista did for his team!

After fouling back a 2-0 pitch, Bautista hammered the next one into the left field bullpen. All 50 of his homers have been to left or left center.

Bautista is the 26th player in baseball history to reach the 50-home run mark in a season, and the first since Prince Fielder (50) and Alex Rodriguez (54) did it 3 years ago.

Bautista has hit 27 home runs since the All Star break, a new Blue Jays’ record.

The blast was Bautista’s major league-high 31st at home this season, breaking Carlos Delgado’s Blue Jays’ record set in 2000.

USA Softball Olympians Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley had been the darlings of the All-Star Legends & Superstar Recreation held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA Sunday.

In one of the many events main up to the 2010 MLB All-Star recreation on July 13, Watley and Finch were relaxed and confident amidst many well-known faces both movie star and athletes.

California native, Jennie Finch, got here out strong by smokin’ a couple of her famous quick pitches past Ricky Henderson and Tim Salmon to each laughter and applause. The all-star pitcher also hit a house-run useless heart for her team.

Natasha Watley, the 5’10” USA Softball shortstop, snagged a few hard hit balls at third base with simple athleticism.

It was all for fun and charity, but should nonetheless be noted that each Watley and Finch represented themselves and women’s athletics very well.
