Butler University Enrollment Expected to Rise

Butler University is a private liberal arts university located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was founded by abolitionist and attorney Ovid Butler in 1855. Currently its enrollment stands at over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students in 60 degree programs through five colleges, the College of Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Pharmacy and Health Services, and the Jordan College of Fine Arts.

About 55 undergraduate, one first professional and 17 master’s degrees are offered in five academic colleges. One college is expected to be added on the next school year as the faculty senate just recently voted to support the creation of a College of Communication last March 23, 2010.

Butler University enrollment is expected to rise after making their first ever appearance in the NCAA National Championship. The Bulldogs, Butler University’s basketball team have been very competitive in DI Basketball over the years but now they will finally have a chance at getting the coveted title.
